In recent years we have witnessed a significant increase in the emergence of varied novel technologies (especially information and communication, reading, multimedia, and knowledge management technologies). Most of these technologies enable users to share their knowledge with others and open new options in academic teaching and learning for spreading knowledge through visualization and multimedia. On the other hand, since most advanced technologies were not initially developed for educational purposes, their adaptation to teaching and learning and their integration into educational systems require both continuous, in-depth research to develop unique strategies as well as the creation of a community of researchers who will study innovative technologies and develop models for their effective implementation.
