Objectives: The course teaches the empirical tools required to manage more effectively in an information-rich environment, with an emphasis on data analysis and econometric estimation methods. The economic-business environment in which the firm operates demands the application of empirical capabilities to data analysis for decision-making.
Topics: The classic regression model; Extending the analysis to the multiple-regression model with several explaining variables and to a wide range of applications; Using the computer for empirical applications, use of statistical software packages and research methods in economics; Logit and Probit.
