The course is based on a translation of The Principalship: A Reflective Practice Perspective (3rd ed.), by T.J. Sergiovanni (Allyn and Bacon, 1995); and a reader edited by Ephraim Ben-Baruch and Sarah Guri-Rosenblit.
The course analyzes the major theories in the area of school administration, with a focus on the role of the principal. It presents professional and ethical aspects of the principal’s work and examines it in light of relevant theories.
