Study Frameworks

Various tutorial frameworks that accompany self-study are offered to high school students. Please note that not all frameworks are available everywhere or for every course.

1.

Regular Open University study centers hold tutorial sessions that include both high school and adult students. Registration is conducted directly through the Open University.

2.

Study centers that cater to high school students and to adult students - a special tutorial group for high school students will be opened at study centers if a minimum number of high school students are enrolled in a certain course. If the number of high school students is insufficient, students will join regular adult groups conducted at the center. At these centers, high school students come from different classes and high schools located in the geographical area of the study center.

3.

Centers that cater only to high school students - all tutorial sessions at these centers are for high school students. Students at these centers come from different classes and high schools in the geographical area of the study center, as well as from more distant locations - with the aim of attending a study center tailored to high school students.

4.

School centers - these centers hold tutorial sessions for groups of students from a particular high school, or several high schools. Tutorials are conducted in the school.

The study frameworks described in 2, 3, and 4 above serve as registration, information and tutorial centers. However, please note that it is not always possible to continue to conduct study groups for high school students at the same center over time - some students decide to withdraw from academic studies, others are not interested in continuing the courses and fields of study offered at the center, etc.

We can not guarantee that studies in high school student groups will continue to be organized and conducted at the same center/school. Therefore, high school students who wish to continue their academic studies at the Open University, may have to do so either at another student center or at a regular study center attended by adults in their area of residence. Detailed information about study centers and the various study frameworks can be found in the table of study centers.

Please note: Some study centers charge an additional fee, in addition to tuition charged by the Open University. We recommend that you check this at the study center. These fees cover the facilities and services provided by the study centers and are not transferred to the Open University.
