Alternatives to Matriculation ExaminationsStudents may substitute Open University academic courses for matriculation exams in various subjects. In other words, students may take selected academic courses in lieu of specific matriculation subjects. The matriculation grade will then be based on the grades in academic courses which the student has successfully completed. A program of study will be designed for students, combining the high school curriculum with the desired academic course matriculation alternatives, provided this does not impair the student's educational activities, social involvement and high school studies. Students interested in taking academic courses as matriculation test alternatives should apply to their high school principal for the written approval of the school pedagogical council.
