20423 Differential and Integral Calculus II 1
Credits: 6 intermediate credits in Mathematics
Prerequisites: none
Required: One of the following: Differential and Integral Calculus I, Infinitesimal Calculus I
The course is based on a translation (by Naomi Shaked-Monderer) of chapters 12-19 of Calculus with Analytic Geometry (5th ed.), by H. Anton and A. Herr (John Wiley & Sons, 1995). Chapters 1-11 of the book are the basis for the course Differential and Integral Calculus I (20406). Chapter 11 (“Infinite series”) is provided here as supplementary material, since it is not covered in Infinitesimal Calculus I (20106).
This course covers, in less depth, the topics taught in Infinitesimal Calculus II (20212) and Infinitesimal Calculus III (20224).
Topics: Infinite series; Topics in analytic geometry; Polar coordinates and parametric equations; Three-dimensional space; Vectors; Vector-valued functions; Partial derivatives; Multiple integrals; Topics in vector calculus; Second order differential equations.
