10161 Introduction to the Social Sciences

Credits: 3 introductory credits in Sociology & Anthropology or in Political Science or in Communication

The course is based on a Hebrew translation of the Open University (UK) course �An Introduction to the Social Sciences� (2000). It is an introduction to basic concepts in the various knowledge areas in the Social Sciences.

Topics: The family, the employment market, globalization. In studying these topics, students familiarize themselves with the different perspectives of the social science disciplines: sociology, political science, economics and psychology.
