55157 Teaching Psychology: Methodology 1

Prerequisites: Curriculum Design, Development, and Implementation,2 Philosophy of Education,3 and a B.A. in Psychology.4

The course is based on a reader edited by Ruth Beyth-Marom and Daniella Friedman.

Objectives: To acquaint students with the high school Psychology curriculum; to apply the didactic principles studied in the course Philosophy of Education (10765) to the teaching of Psychology; to acquaint students with special issues in Psychology instruction; to expose students to traditional and alternative methods of assessment. Participation in tutorials is mandatory.
