The course examines the full range of areas that affect educational thought and shape its study and inquiry. It highlights the affinity between philosophical and educational thought; presents key stages in the development of educational theory, examines the effect of various disciplines, such as Psychology, Biology, Sociology and Anthropology, on educational thought; analyzes a range of theories of education theorists; discusses future effects on the structure of education systems.
