The objective of the course is to provide competitive insights, develop skills for integrating and coordinating the firm’s resources based on a long-term approach and an understanding of the interface between the organization and its task environment. The course addresses such fundamental questions as why firms succeed or fail and why firms demonstrate different performance levels. The primary reason for studying strategic management is related to frequently changing business circumstances and the managerial challenge in effectively grappling with dynamic environments characterized by high uncertainty while achieving business performance results expected by stakeholders.
