The course examines the development of mass media in Israel as a tool for constructing patriotism on one hand, and for connecting with the world, on the other. It traces the map of Israeli mass media and identifies processes and changes in it since the establishment of the state. The materials include two readers (in Hebrew) edited by Oren Soffer.
