Academic Counseling and Study Guidance The Open University of Israel

The Center for Students with Learning Disabilities

The Center for Students with Learning Disabilities functions within the academic support system and provides assistance to students with diagnosed learning disabilities.

As part of the learning assistance provided by the Open University, students may ask for a meeting to discuss their diagnosis and its implications for dealing with academic tasks. Students can also get guidance to improve their study skills and organization of time.

Training is either individual or in small groups, and is given by subject-matter experts or student-tutors in the field they are studying.

The conditions under which students with learning disabilities sit for examinations correspond to those of other universities. They are determined on the basis of the recommendations of the didactic diagnosis, taking into consideration each student's unique difficulties.

Reducing exam anxiety
Individual support and assistance in reducing exam anxiety is provided if necessary.
